At Free To Be Ceremonies, we believe life's most meaningful moments deserve recognition, reflection, and care.

Modern life often leaves little room for ritual. Yet people still experience milestones that deserve to be honored: commitments, weddings, transitions, losses, reconciliations, new beginnings, and moments of personal transformation. Ceremonies help us pause, mark these experiences, and connect them to the people and values that matter most.

Free To Be Ceremonies was created to help individuals, couples, families, and communities design meaningful ceremonies that reflect who they are. We welcome people from all backgrounds, beliefs, identities, and family structures, including those who may not feel at home in traditional religious settings.

Meet Your Celebrants

Free To Be Ceremonies is a partnership between Genevieve and Laura Jean.

Together, we bring experience in community leadership, relationship support, life transitions, and ceremony design. We understand that many people are seeking meaningful ways to celebrate important moments outside traditional frameworks, while others wish to honor longstanding traditions in a way that reflects who they are today.

Our role is not to tell your story for you. Our role is to help create the space where your story can be told.

Serving Northeast Tennessee and Beyond

Based in Mountain City, Tennessee, we serve communities throughout Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, and Northwest North Carolina. Additional travel may be available by arrangement.
